An introductory session on Human Centric Design was conducted for our School Prefect Body by Aradhana Gurung, Lead Manager at Nepal Innovation Lab. Human-centered design is a creative approach to problem solving. It’s a process that starts with the people one is designing an intervention for and ends with new solutions that are tailor-made to suit their needs.. The students discussed their roles and responsibilites as individuals, as prefects, as students, as family members, and as citizens in society. They also discussed their fears and doubts and opened up a conversation around failure and how it is important to embrace and understand failure to later on succeed in school, in the family circle, in society and in life. They also did a few exercises on problem identification and solution mapping.
